Wöt-yōn Vrët (/wo˞t/ /joːn/ [complex] [bottle]) is a subtropical Town located in the Fio̠dyokōn Moot of the Viceroyalty of Rosid.

The name Wöt-yōn Vrët is derived from the Wood Elvish language, as Wöt-yōn Vrët was founded by Delvipo Yaezulror Igegri, who was culturaly Wood Elven.

Climate

Wöt-yōn Vrët has a yearly average temperature of 16°C (60°F), with its average temperature during the summer being a pleasant 24°C (75°F) and its average temperature during the winter being a cold 8°C (46°F). Wöt-yōn Vrët receives an average of 147 cm/y (57 in/y) of precipitation, most of which comes in the form of rain during the spring. Wöt-yōn Vrët covers an area of nearly 5 km2 (2 mi2), and an average elevation of 4506 m (14783 ft) above sea level.

Overview

Wöt-yōn Vrët was founded durring the late 13th century in spring of the year 1193, by Delvipo Yaezulror Igegri. The establishment of Wöt-yōn Vrët suffered from several major issues, resulting in the need to develop many solutions to basic problems. Problems such as a lack of fresh water, logistical support, poor quality tools, and the odd monster or two. Howeaver, these were overcome in time.

Wöt-yōn Vrët was built using the conventions of Wood Elven durring the late 13th century. Naturaly, all settlmentss have their own look to them, and Wöt-yōn Vrët is no diffrent. The town's buildings feature waddle and daub construction with good timber frames and a stone foundation protected by thatched or shingled rooves. Most buildings with second floors are built in such a way as to overhang into the streets on the upper floors for more space, as building size seems to be the primary indicator of wealth within the community. Most buildings are not decorated with any integral features, but instead use ivy, flowers, and other natural elements in planters of on trellices to breathe life into the structure they grow upon.

Wöt-yōn Vrët is buildings are built arround a single premissive paverstone mainstreet which forms a counterclockwise spiral to give the town a over all circular shape. The town has a fortified albit thin brick wall. The wall has most of the feeatures of a typical castle wall, just on a much smaller scale and and budget. Notably brick isn't a particuarly soild choice for resisting siege weapons. Wöt-yōn Vrët's wall wouldn't hinder a proper army, but it is more than sufishent for bandits and other small marauding groups. Wöt-yōn Vrët's monster and outlaw focused fortifications has sufferd soem light damage, reducing its function a little in some spots, but could almsot certainly preform as expected... Though some of the worse spots could lead to the loss of defenders lives if attackers identified the weaknesses ahead of time.

A look around Wöt-yōn Vrët gives you a feeling of distrust and paranoia. Also greed. The locals seem to be very much into scholastic pursuits, based on the hushed, murmured conversations you hear at least. Everyone in Wöt-yōn Vrët acts like they have discovered something wondrous, and are worried they will endure some horrible fate so another can take what they’ve discovered for themselves.

Cultural Notes

Wöt-yōn Vrët's mayor's house was built using a different architectural style from the rest of the town. The style used is characterized by their massive, monolithic and 'blocky' appearance with a rigid geometric style. It was best known for its rough, unfinished surfaces, unusual shapes, heavy-looking materials, straight lines, and small windows. Modular elements were often used to form masses representing specific functional zones, grouped into a unified whole.

In Wöt-yōn Vrët most nights are accompanied by colorful ribbons of light in the sky.

The Ghoul near Wöt-yōn Vrët are known to be more aggressive than normal.

Wöt-yōn Vrët's citizens partake in a curious ritual relating to their local kami. It takes place in autumn and involves square dance to channel Necromancy energies of tier 1 via chanting.
